Meet the Member
Isabel Salazar is a physical therapist for Inter Miami MLS Next Pro and Academy. A Miami native, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Florida International University after completing her undergraduate studies in psychology, a foundation that shapes her approach to athlete care. Her academic and postgraduate work included research on post-operative ACL rehabilitation, an area further shaped by her own experience recovering from an ACL injury as a competitive player. That background gives her a unique understanding of both the physical and mental demands athletes face throughout recovery and return to performance. She began her career in a sports performance setting, working with athletes across multiple sports, and brings over 10 years of coaching experience within Miami’s youth soccer community. Salazar takes a sport-specific approach to rehabilitation and return-to-play, helping athletes navigate injury and confidently return to competition. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys teaching her niece everything she can about soccer, traveling (especially spontaneous last-minute trips) and trying new restaurants around Miami.
