Who We Are

PSPTA is a professional association dedicated to representing the physical therapists working in and around professional soccer. We bring together practitioners at every level of the sport to share knowledge, uphold clinical excellence, and champion the health of every player — from the professional pitch to the local field.

We believe that great physical therapy doesn’t just help players recover — it helps them perform at their peak level, return safe, and enjoy the game they love for as long as possible.

Our Mission

PSPTA is committed to promoting and advancing the science and practice of physical therapy within the sport of soccer. We support the application of the most current, evidence-based practices in injury prevention, performance training, treatment, and rehabilitation — while upholding the highest ethical standards of our profession.

We serve professional soccer players, member clubs, and our broader community of practice by fostering collaboration across disciplines and ensuring that every athlete has access to the best possible care.

Our Members

PSPTA is made up of licensed physical therapists working directly in professional soccer organizations across the country. Our membership reflects the full scope of the sport — spanning leagues, levels, and club environments — united by a shared commitment to player health and professional excellence.

Alongside our PT members, we cultivate active relationships with a multidisciplinary community of athletic trainers, physicians, strength and conditioning coaches, sport scientists, nutritionists, sport psychologists, and other allied health professionals who share our mission.
